How To Use: "Gently massage onto clean skin in upward, circular motions. Use morning + night. An excellent base for smooth makeup application."

Scent? A very strong lavender scent.

Texture? A nice light yet creamy lotion.

My Experience: I've been using this product every morning and night everyday since the beginning of June until the last month I switched it to mornings only (my skin started getting dryer and it does well when I give it lots of good oils at night). At first, the tea tree tingle was a little intense, but that went away quickly and now I find it refreshing. It is very lightweight and I love the texture. It leaves a nice finish for makeup, it's not greasy at all and absorbs nicely. It's got tea tree and rosemary oil in it and did a pretty good job at clarifying my skin. (Tea tree oil is antibacterial and kills acne bacteria over 72 hours and rosemary oil was shown to help with the inflammatory response from acne bacteria in an in vitro and vivo study) The lotion also worked great on other parts of my body. My shoulders break out sometimes and it felt really nice putting it over those painful cystic bumps and it definitely helped clear them. I've left it on as a spot treatment in some places and that seemed to help depuff angry pimples. It also felt great on a bug bite.

Overall: I think this is a great day lotion to keep on hand for breakouts. Used too much and too often on normal-type skin, it can be drying (at least for me it was). Which is why I would not recommend it for someone with sensitive or dry skin. If you have normal/combination skin and/or are living in an arid place; I'd recommend using it in the mornings and a hydrating balm or night cream in conjunction in the evenings so you can get it's clarifying benefits but are also keeping your skin well moisturized. It does moisturize well on it's own for the day, but I found myself needing more hydration at night. My skin is normal/combination type and acne prone, but the acne is usually due to internal issues. I can't say whether this helped to prevent breakouts, but I can say that it helped clear them. It absorbs well, has a lovely creamy texture and I really enjoy the lavender smell. Definitely a  staple that I want in my bathroom going forward for blemishes.
